The Koreans have used potteries from 7000 to 8000 years ago. Since ancient times they used to make pottery by firing clay at a heat of 1300 degree Celsius. They produced unique, original and beautiful pottery. They traded extensively with China and adopted manufacturing skills of Celadon.
Korean pottery is healthy and alive due to its good natural disposition. The Korean potters believed in nature and sought to be a part of it. So they lived in deep recesses of mountains to give a natural touch to their wares and used simple colors with liberal techniques for molding the clay prior to making the pottery.
About Pottery
Korean pottery can be studied in terms of three empires. These three empires which present the foundation of Korean ceramic history also reflect the culture of pottery during this era. These three kingdoms are – Silla, Goguryeo and Joseon. The Korean potters produced coarse household goods as well as highly sophisticated statues of imperial figures, guardians, horses, escorts of the dead in mausoleum of kings, as well as nobility.
1. Korean pottery in the Silla era (668 to 935) – the pottery was plain in color, design and silhouette at the time of the unified Silla era. Celadon was the main produce. Gradually in the 14th century Bakeja porcelain wares developed which had vibrant varnish. These were made up of highly refined clay. Bakeja wares were fixed with feldspar and were very cautiously fired in very huge and fresh kilns. Bakeja wares flourished tremendously until the Joseon dynasty came to power.
2. Korean pottery in the Goguryeo era (918 to 1392) – during this epoch some of the best small scale works of ceramics were accomplished in Korea. In this age the potters made foliate designs, key fret, geometric shapes, elliptical panels, stylized fishes and insects, and they started using incised designs from this era. The glazes used, were different shades of Celadon. For stoneware and storage goods they used black and brown glazes.
3. Korean pottery in Joseon dynasty (1392 to 1910) – it can be called the golden era of Korean pottery. The Korean ceramics developed to a great extent and pottery was produced in a large commercial scale for export. The quality of the pottery also improved considerably. They followed the Chinese Ming Dynasty in evolving their improved range of pottery and they are similar in certain aspects to the Chinese wares. Storage pottery, celadon, white porcelain were alike and only with minimal variations either in glazes, designs or weight. Ming influence was also felt in the blue and white matter by using cobalt blue glazes.

There are many people out there who are in demand, and a good independent contractor is one of them. The reason for this is because there are so many bad ones. I shouldn’t say there are a lot of bad ones, but the ones that make the news are swindling people and doing a lousy job, and they are giving their peers a bad name. When you need to find someone to help with building a home or remodeling, you do have to do your homework. You will probably find someone good, but you should never just assume that this is the case.
You don’t want to find out that you have hired a bad independent contractor after the job has started. You want to know before you agree to hire them or give them any amount of money. The best way to be sure that you have someone good is to find your tractor supplies by word of mouth. If you know anyone that has hired someone with good results, you should ask them for a recommendation. Most people will happily share this type of information with you, as they know it is often hard to find someone good and who will work with you instead of on their own schedule.
Don’t be afraid to ask an independent contractor for references, and find out if they are bonded and insured. You should never hire anyone who is not, even if it means you can save some money. If they do something wrong, or someone gets hurt, you are open to being sued by them, or you will have to pay for all of the damage they have caused. If they do the job wrong, it will be your expense for them to fix it. You should know this information before you entertain the idea of hiring any independent contractor.
Also remember to have a clear plan and timetable set up before you tell the independent contractor you have chosen that you want them to start the job. Make sure you have a good estimate of how long it is going to take for them to finish the job, and what will happen if they run into problems. You don’t want to hire an independent contractor that will work for you when they have the time, and that might leave you wondering if your project will ever be completed. You will find many great and honest workers out there, but it never hurts to be sure you are getting a good deal before you agree to anything. Protect yourself and your investment by doing your homework.

Installing an oven range hood can help you clear the air when cooking, and even help eliminate odor and pollutants in your kitchen space. When you cook on the stove on a regular basis, you will be producing a lot of steam, grease, and chemicals that can essentially spread into other areas of the home. Lock those windows and doors! I’ve told my mom this more times than I can count. She comes from a different generation that supposedly didn’t have to worry about random break-ins. Well, sorry mom, but those days are long gone. We now live in an era of violence and unpredictability. As bad as that sounds, it pretty much sums things up. So now is when you have to ask yourself, what are you doing to stay safe? Maybe you carry pepper spray when out in public, and always remember to lock your car doors immediately after entering the vehicle. This is great! But what about when you at home? Hey, you didn’t actually think you were completely safe and secure in your home did you? Well, unless you live in a castle with guards, you’re probably not. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t take certain measures to make it safe. In this day and age there’s anything from security cameras, to reinforced windows, to online alarm monitoring software. The options are yours.

Train The Way You Want Your Body To Change.
This basically means to stress your body so it changes your body to what you want. If you want to improve your general fitness, develop a well-rounded program that focuses on the major muscle groups. Endurance, weight training, and flexibility exercises should also be included with your weight training in your program.
This you can say is the most important training principle as the body adapts to stress in a highly specific way. The best way to improve your performance in a sport is to practice that sport. Improvement will only occur when you practice the skill correctly and incorporate new fitness gains into it.
The principle of specificity should be the central consideration in any training program designed to improve skilled performance.

Many of us are aware of the importance of identifying the people we meet by their names. Yet, on numberless occasions, we are embarrassed when we come across a face we know we have met recently but just can’t remember the person’s name. The embarrassment grows as we do a quick and frantic memory search with no useful results. Just a few tricks can help you memorize the names of the persons you meet and help you avoid getting into embarrassing encounters. Here are five easy steps to remember names:
1. Pay close attention to the name of a person at the time of introduction, as attention helps you remember. At the same time, study the person, particularly the person’s facial features, the eyes, the nose, the brow etc., so that your memory can store the image of the person along with the name. This will help you establish a bond between the name and face. If you don’t do this, you may remember one but not the other. Continue reading →

It’s truly amazing how one little gift can send a man into orbit. When I gave my husband Larry the Cable Guy tickets for his birthday, he acted like he won the lottery. While I’m a pretty big fan of this hilarious character, too, I really had no idea that the gift would have such a profound impact on my husband.
I actually got the Larry the Cable Guy tickets on a whim. I didn’t want to purchase another tool and I think that my husband would rather get a root canal than receive clothes or ties (that he will never wear) as birthday presents. I figured that Larry the Cable Guy tickets would be the prefect choice. I just didn’t realize how very perfect they were.

Domestic violence occurs in all cultures, against people of all races, ethnicities, religions, and classes. Domestic violence is known by many terms including wife or husband beating, battering, domestic abuse, spousal abuse, and family violence, which is a broader definition often used to include child abuse, elder abuse, or other violent acts between family members. It also takes on many forms aside from physical violence; abuse, emotional abuse, intimidation, economic deprivation, or threats of violence all constitute domestic violence. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), domestic violence is a serious, preventable public health problem that affects more than 32 million Americans. This number only reflects the number of cases that are reported; it’s estimated that in the United States, as many as one third of domestic violence cases are never reported.
